This book is a collection of exercises and play scripts written in workshops with students in Years 6 to 10. They can be used within a number of strands of the Curriculum and Standards Framework for Primary Arts Education. Arts, Dance and Music have links to the KLAs of English and Physical Education. The exercises are valuable in private Speech, Drama or Movement studios for improvisation ideas, exercises and texts.

Physical and verbal exercises are used as warm-up activities which lead into short duologues and plays. The suggestions after the activities give students a framework in which to extend their skills. They will want to create their own works.
