Three unhappy collaborators set out to win a ‘Future
of Oz’ challenge set by the Rotary Club of Gunagga.
They have the help of Bill, a very unlikely heroine.
Of course there are villains – Lenny and his father
(the two Rats), Judy the Git, Roddy (aka Hades) and the dreadful
teacher, Mr Smith.
But the three walk together into the most important challenge
they have ever faced – the challenge of taking charge
of the future.
This is a tale of a bilby’s tail. Read all about it…….
Tony Hepworth has been a teacher of one sort or another all
his working life, in Sydney, in country schools, in Papua New
Guinea and then in the School of Education at Charles Sturt
University, Wagga Wagga. When he retired from CSU Tony became
actively involved in Landcare and then started a new career
in Environmental Education with the Wagga Wagga City Council.
Tony is aware that it is not just the world we leave to our
children, but also the children we leave to the world. He hopes
Bill might help shape the ideas of some of those children.
Tony and Karen Atkins, a teacher in NSW schools, have written
a study guide for teachers and students, follow our link to
